The world is constantly changing. As a designer, I am committed to maintaining a high level of competency in current technologies and methods of working.

If technology is now a mirror to our subconscious, are we creating a better machine to hold data than the one we have in our brains because we long to improve on design?  OR Does every form of data storage and retrieval device humankind generates reflect our true internal synaptic structure? 

Design, to me, is a highly cerebral expression of communication that combines visceral limbic reactions with the need to evolve mentally, pulling oneself out of the muck, as it were, into a higher level of consciousness.  Web design is no different. Devolution is a constant threat.
